Our District
Halesowen District Scouts provides fun and adventures for young people between 6 years old and 25 years old. We operate from 9 different Scout Headquarters from Quinton through to Lye. All our young people learn skills for everyday life, go on adventures, have fun and make loads of friends.
Each group runs Beavers (6 – 8 years old), Cubs (8 -10 years old), and Scouts (10 – 14 years old) after Scouts our young people move onto a District Explorer group until the age of 18 years and then our Network provision for 18 – 25 year olds. We also run the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme from Bronze through to Gold. We have young leader training for those from aged from 14 years who want to help run a section.
In Halesowen District it’s not just the young people having adventures, fun and making friends it’s also about the adults enjoying what they do, making new friends and developing their own skills. The aim is for everyone to have fun whilst in Scouting. We have a national run training scheme for adults in all roles.
